Pavement Resurfacing (Overlay)
Pavement resurfacing involves adding a brand-new asphalt surface, otherwise known as an overlay, straight over an existing asphalt pavement. Asphalt overlays usually consist of a half-inch level layer followed by a 1-1/2 surface layer. When completing a resurfacing project, we specialize in milling butt joints around catch basins, sidewalks and at roads to allow for a new layer to be applied without leaving a large bump in the new asphalt. We also use brooms and blowers to clean the existing pavement to allow for the asphalt to stick. Asphalt resurfacing is a more cost-effective way of repaving a large area but this can only be done if the existing asphalt is still in good condition and if the existing asphalt is not already too full at surrounding areas. Asphalt resurfacing is a cost efficient way to extend the life of your parking lot.
