Our services vary from job to job but we offer all the following services: Asphalt resurfacing, full depth replacement and asphalt planing. Our resurfacing process is more extensive than others as we use ride on brooms and bowers as well as hand tools to clean all dirt and debris off the surface. We also patch holes prior to applying our leveling layer and separate surface layer. Our full depth repairs consist of removing the existing material down to the stone base. We then examine the stone base and repair it as needed before grading and compacting the stone base. We than apply the asphalt in two layers to finish the project. Full depth repairs can be performed over an entire parking lot or smaller sections can be saw cut out and replaced as a more feasible option. Asphalt planing is the process of grinding off the top layer of asphalt and then placing a leveling layer and a surface layer of asphalt back of the cleaned surface. At Hammett asphalt we specialize in all sizes of asphalt planing. We can use our two-foot planer to repair patches throughout a lot or we can use a large planer to remove the surface layer from an entire parking lot. After milling off the layer of asphalt we clean the surface and apply two layers of asphalt to the area.
